Unreal Engine + Game Dev Meetup

The combined Game Dev & Unreal Meetup is a regular gathering point for the local game development community, where beginners, indie creators, and experienced developers alike come together. The goal of the event is to create opportunities for professional discussions and networking in a casual and friendly atmosphere.

Besides the usual good vibes and friendly conversations, we’ll also be bringing back our new experimental micro-jam from last time. Participants will be randomly organized into teams of 4-5 people, and after a quick introduction, each team will have 30 minutes to come up with a game concept together based on a theme and specific elements provided by us. Once the time is up, one member from each team will present your idea to the group.

The game has two main goals: first, to spark conversations between people who may not know each other yet. Second, to give everyone a chance to get a taste of game jams in a completely low-risk, commitment-free format.

Of course, participation is optional. Anyone who just wants to hang out and chat can comfortably do so in the back area of the bar. The activity is expected to last around 1 hour.

Entry is still free! And don’t be surprised by the venue name change, the place itself remains the same, it’s just continuing under the name SideQuest Bar.
