Unreal Engine + Gamedev Meetup

The combined Game Dev & Unreal Meetup is a regular gathering point for Hungary's game development and 3D community, welcoming beginners, indie creators, and experienced developers alike. The goal of the event is to provide a relaxed and friendly environment for professional discussions, networking, and meeting like-minded people.

We're continuing to experiment with our micro-jam workshops, but this time we're adding a twist: alongside collaborative brainstorming, we'll also sneak in a bit of game design learning! 🚀

As before, we'll spend about 1–1.5 hours on the workshop, but this time we'll kick things off with a short 10-minute introduction covering the fundamental principles of game design. Your mission will be to work in small teams to create a functional core gameplay loop while carefully thinking through how the mechanics connect, how they support one another, and what motivates players to engage with them.

Participation in the workshop is, of course, completely optional. If you'd rather just hang out and chat, you're more than welcome to do so in the back area of the bar.
